Trick or Treat Trends: Binge Worthy TV

“No. Halloween is stupid. Dressing up, pretending to be someone your not.” - Joey Friends

Rachel Green

This year I became obsessed with the TV show Friends…. yes I know I am very late to the party, but this summer I finally binged it and fell in love. To preface this post, I have been told many times that I am a Rachel, so here we are me pretending to be her circa season one.

To accomplish this look all you need is a button down denim shirt, a black skirt, black tights, black shoes, and an apron of some kind. If you want to add a few props try a LARGE coffee cup or a coffee pot (both of which I found at the thrift shop for very cheap). I tried to iron on the “Central Perk” logo to my apron, but it didn’t work with how dark the fabric was. I would suggest getting a lighter fabric apron so the logo will stand out, and their would be a differentiation with the skirt. Her make up has always been natural and her hair is in a messy bun, just think very 90s inspired.

Carrie Bradshaw

Many of those who have watched Sex in the City know that the show is all about fashion, and that no one is more iconic at that than Carrie Bradshaw, and by extension Sarah Jessica Parker. So when I needed another TV gal to tackle for this post I knew there was no one better. So I headed down to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to embrace my inner Carrie and do a little window shopping at Chanel.

I took my inspiration for this look from the opening title sequence where she is wearing a white tulle skirt in the middle of a Manhattan Street. To achieve this look I threw on a pink tank top, with a white tule skirt, and accessorized with a chunky heel with a bow on it and a silver belt. I kept this make up look simple and elegant and wore my hair down and flowing in the wind, to add an extra element to the costume try adding tight small barrel curls.

Toni Topaz

Riverdale has been my favorite show since it came on air about two year ago. I was instantly enamored with the characters and the plot line, but like many millennials my age I started watching for Cole Sprouse. As the show went on it became one of the most beloved shows on air. Last year during my halloween posts I had Cheryl Blossom as one of my TV bad girls, but this year I figured why not become one bad ass biker chic named Toni Topaz.

To achieve this look all you need is; a grey t-shirt, black jeans, a red flannel shirt (can be found in the mens department, and often cheaper than women’s.), leather jacket, and black heeled combat boots. Most of these pieces most people already have in their closet or can easily be found at a thrift shop. For make up I went with a purple smokey eye with a dark green under eye smudged liner, and a youthful glowing skin. I finished off this Toni glam by getting a pink wig and adding some small braids in a few sections.

You can find the shoes, wig, and patch I used by clicking these links, and find some jackets and flannels linked below.

I had such a great time putting together all of these looks and can’t wait for you all to see what’s to come. If you recreate any of these looks please let me know.

Leave me a comment down below telling me what TV and movie characters are your favorite so I can recreate them next year!
